Bio

I am David Collins, a native musician from the Twin Cities, and I have dedicated my life to being a composer, and teacher. As a multi-instrumentalist, I excel in both guitar and piano. Since 2020, I have been developing my unique sound in my home studio, where I self-produce evocative music. I believe that each new work showcases God and offers praise through music inspired by our Creator.

I teach guitar and piano in several schools throughout the Twin Cities. My focus is on building strong relationships with my students while imparting technical skills, music theory, ear training, composition, and the creation of original music. Since 2014, I have had the privilege of motivating many new musicians. My musical influences span various styles such as rock, worship, contemporary, neo-classical, and classical. Throughout my journey, I emphasize the importance of relaxation and healing through music. My work in music and teaching is deeply shaped by my faith, family, and life experiences.

I have dedicated nine years to teaching music at the esteemed Kramer School of Music, where I have shared my passion with countless students. I have also spent five years at Musika Music Lessons and another five at Taylor Robinson Music. My professional journey includes collaborations with Hennepin Technical College and special projects with the renowned Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) Throughout my career, I have recorded and performed widely as the founder, lead singer, and guitarist of my previous band, as well as during my solo performances, such as:
